Description |
Eagle Plug is an ultra rapid-set cementitious mortar formulated to patch water-leaking holes, cracks and voids. This mortar is specially to set concrete work in only few minutes. It can repair cracks in concrete and masonry like foundations, wells, walls, quays and concrete pipes. Eagle Plug can also fix metallic parts in masonry and concrete like electric boxes and industrial doors. For inside, outside and even underwater surfaces. |
Surface Preparation |
All surfaces shall be structurally sound, clean and free from traces of dust, oil, grease, wax, paint, curing agent, coatings and loose particles, acids, alkalis or any other material that can reduce adhesion. It is required to enlarge all cracks to have an opening of minimum 20 x 20 mm (3/4”x3/4”) more or less square. Ambient surface and product temperature must be superior than 5ºC (40ºF)and lower than 35ºC (95ºF) during installation and for the first hour. |
Mixing |
In a clean container, pour exactly 250 ml of fresh clean water per kilogram and add Eagle Plug powder, mix quickly for about 10 seconds. Proceed very quickly with the application. Mix only quantities that can be applied in 1 minute. For better strength, keep repaired surface moistened for 30 minutes To plug a water leak, after 10 seconds mix, wearing rubber gloves, take mortar in hands, squeeze immediately in opening and hold pressure for about 45 seconds, then rapidly even the surface. |
Curing |
Eagle Plug takes about 60 to 120 seconds to dry. Curing time may vary according to temperature and humidity level. Protect surface against sun and wind. Wait 30 minutes prior to allow light traffic. Time can be longer depending on temperature. |
Cleanning |
Clean working tools and hands with water while product is still fresh. |
Package |
This product is available in 750 g, 5 kg and 22.7 kg pail. |
Storage |
Store in a dry and fresh area. Shelf life is 12 months in its original non-opened container. |
