Eagle Grout is a one component, shrinkage-compensated rapid-set cementitious grout that allows very fluid consistency without any segregation. This grout is specially formulated to obtain very high strength. Ideal for interior or exterior applications with thickness that can vary from 12 mm (1/2”) to 60 mm (2 3/8”). It is free of chloride, gypsum and metallic aggregates.
Surface Preparation | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Avoid working under intense sun. All surfaces shall be structurally sound, clean and free from traces of dust, oil, grease, paint, curing agent, coatings or exempt from any trace of acids, alkalis or any other material that can reduce adhesion. All concrete substrates shall be completely cured and at least 28 days old. They must be roughened to completely remove all traces of paint, coating, loosely bonded toppings. Use of Eagle Prime Plus as primer is a good alternative to concrete water saturation otherwise you may saturate concrete surface with clean water within few hours before repairs leaving no excess water and apply mortar when surface is dry again. Ambient, surface and product temperature must be superior than 10ºC (50ºF) and lower than 35ºC (95ºF) during the installation and for the first 72 hours. Some jobs may need the use of forms to hold ground, like column bases. Forms can be taken apart after a minimum of 3 days.
